Day 9

At bloodhoof Village it seems Mull Thunderhorn has another quest for me.  To create another cleansing totem, apprently another well ahs been poisoned.  I will need wolf and cougar paws.  I head back to the wilderness outside the camp and collect the ingridients.   Thunder Horn Totem accepted.

I turn in the items to  Mull Thunderhorn, he awards me 625 xp.  Mull Thunderhorn explains i must take this new totem to the Thunderhorn well to cleanse this water.

On leaving the camp i encoutner an npc named Ahab Wheathoof.   Ahab explains that his dog has gone missing and needs help finding the dog.  When I find the dog somewhere in the village i am to feed him plainstrider meat, this will setlle the dog.   Kyle's Gone Missing accepted.

I slaughter many gobilins at the Thunderhorn Well and perform the ritual.  On my way back I come across a strider and use the meat for Kyle's Gone Missing.  Back at camp I find Kyle and feed him the meat and report back to Ahab Wheathoof.  He awards me 1sp, 75 cp and 620 xp, I've Reached the big Level10!  After this is Speak With Mull Thunderhorn, he awards me the Thunderhorn Cloak and 700xp.  The cloak I current have has a higher defense rating then the Thunderhorn Cloak, so the new cloak will be going to the vendor.

Mull Thunderhorn explains there is one last well which needs to be cleansed.  To create this totem we will need the teeth of 8 prarie alpha wolves.  Wildmain Totem accepted.
In Bloodhoof Village I enocunter an oldlooking well armed NPC.  His name is Skorn Whitecloud.  Skorn explains that if i wish to prove myself as a hunter, I could bring 4 flat land prowler (cougar) claws to a well known hunter  in the main city of ThunderBluff Melor Stonehoof.  He can train me to be a greater hunter as well.  The Hunter's Way accepted.

Before heading out to the wildnerness I speak with one more NPC; Krang Stonhoof.   Krang Stonhoof is the warrior trainer.  This si the first time we've spoken to a traine yet, i think were quite past due actually.  I suppose we could have at level two.  Right now, we have almsot 30 odd peices of silver and copper to our name.  We can buy the training we like, nd we also now have a grip on the abilities we've genned with.  This makes choosing wiser.

We trained in parry.  This gives us a chance to block the enemies attacks.. Sounds good to me.  Parry si a passive skill and it is always in play,  unlike my Heroic Strike &War Stomp.

I trained also in REnd, an attack that will bleed my enemy, depending on the amount of damage I do the bleeding will be greater or less. I trained the Second Rank of Rend which was avalaible.  I also Trained in Heroic Strike rank2.  I trained a sweet abiltiy called Bloodrage.  With Bloodrage I can trade of hp (health points) for rage points.  Rage as we discussed ealier allows me certain attacks, Heroic strike requires some rage, rage builds up in combat, but is sold off when i use an attack like heroic strike.  So rage drains fast if you want to do alot of damage.  I find this Bloodrage neat.  This is a keeper.  I'm not sure how much more we should train, or if there is any limit to character training.  We want to be cautious here.  We trained a bunch, lets move onto some quest Krang Stonehoof was chatting about.  Krang explains great warriors are also great students.  I can become greter by speaking with a veteran named  Uzzek.  He will be out aroudn the boarders of the barrens and Durotar?  Veteran Uzzek accepted.

We spent too much time in Bloodhoof, mind you i took a nap,and this is why i feel this way... LEts jet!

First thign is cougar paws for The Hunter's Way.While huting the cougars I came apon the Mazzranche which attacked dslnfkaf!  Haha, I just managed to slay the ebast.  He dropped a nice armor, but it had a lwoer defense rating then my current one.  I just used Blood rage, and it is fun!  The intersting thing is that to activate Bloodrage it required 10 rage poitns, it may be good for group fighitng say a main boss or something along the line of a long fight.

After hunting cougar paws, i was huting the wolves for thier teeth and meat.  I met an NPC named Lorekeeper Raintotem.  Lorekeepr explains some Bristlebacks are desecrating graves of honred tauren of the past.  We must put an ent to them. A sacred Burial accepted.

On Slaying the Btistleback I came upon the Ancestral spirit for our Rite of Wisdom, and compelted the quest recieving 850xp.  I recieved a new quest.  Journey inot Thunderbluff.  For passing my rights I will be a respected Tauren.

For cleaning out the Bristlebacks Lorekeeper Raintotem awards me 2 sp, 50cp and 625 xp.

After collecting the items i return tocmpa and pseak with Mull and he awards me 850 xp.  I've Reached Level 11! The Quest Wildmaine Cleanseing accpeted.

Day 8 'Quest Mania!'

When trying to fight a single mob in a crowded area, like a busy woodland, it's a good idea to make sure you are starting your fight far enough away form other creatures so that you don't attract their attention and have to fight multiple mobs.  Also you want to keep your eye out while fighting for a wandering monsters who may come within attacking distance.

~Windfury Harpy

At Bloodhoof Village I found an npc named Harken Windtotem.  The character explains that a skilled hunter can prove himself and bring honor to his clan by hunting the tough swoops in the area.  Harken explains If i bring him back 8 trophy quills it will bring honor to the clan I come from.  Swoop Hunting accepted!

I meet an NPC named Mull Thunderhorn.  He explains that goblins and their servants in the area have poisoned the water supply.  He can create a cleansing totem but needs me to collect for him some ingredients.  I am to bring back 6 prairie wolf paws and 4 Plainstrider Talons.  Poison Water accepted.

I speak again with Baine Bloodhoof, he has another quest.  Dwarves in the area are searching for some sort of secret in the earth.  They are digging deep into the earth, the problem is this is having a negative impact on the land.  They will not stop, so they must be stopped.  Dwarven Digging accepted!

While collecting the requirements for Swoop hunting and poison water I gained enough xp to reach Level 8!  After I collected the ingredients I'm headed back to Bloodhoof Village before dwarven diggers to turn in my quests.
I turn in the swoop quills to Harken Windtotem and he awards me 2 sp, 50cp and 650 xp for Swoop Hunting.
Mull Thunderhorn awards me 450 Xp for Poison water and explains that we need to use this totem to cleanse the water.    I would have to go to a well in the south east which is guarded by goblins, and cleanse the well.  Winterhoof Cleansing accepted!

Before leaving the camp i meet and NPC named Ruul Eagletalon.  Ruul explains that I've reached a great level and must be ready to face the world outside of our home area.  He explains as a challenge there are harpies in the southeast.  They are our natural enemies.   Killing 8 Windfury Harpies will be a test of skill.  Dangers of the Windfury quest accepted.

As a recap, our current quests are Dwarven Digging, Winterhoof Cleansing, and Dangers of Windfury.   We also have the Rite of Wisdom put aside for now.  Lets head SE to the goblins and harpies first.

We will do the well first.  Nothing much exciting happened here, once cleared my character performed a ritual on the well.  The harpies were a fun to battle.  A nice change in mobs.  After collecting the right amount of harpy talons to prove their death, i head north to the dwarven mine.  After the first few dwarves were slain i gained enough xp to level up to Level 9!  While clearing to the dwarven forge I met up with another player, he aided me in my quest, in return i will keep my eyes open for a special kudo beast he is hunting.

After breaking the dwarven tools and slaying many, I return to camp and first speak with Mull Thunderhorn. I gain 550 xp for Winterhoof Cleansing.  Baine Bloodhoof awards me with Fortified Bracers with a defence rating 45 and also awards 700 xp.  I speak with Ruul Eagletalon next.  He awards me 2sp, 25cp and 700xp.

After selling the items which have dropped, and older no long used items (like nomadic bracers) I've gone out and purchased my first store bought weapon!  It's a two hand'er mace like the ones I've been using.  This one will deal a significant amount more damage then the last one even, which had a dps (damage per second) rating of 3.8.  The damage rating on
my new wooden mallet is 5.0 dps.

I'll be logging now for tonight.

Here is my sweet new mace

ay 'Sharing the Land, Mazzranche and the Seers Water'

I'm sad to say I wasn't able to post yesterday due to RL (real life) issues.

When confronted by a group of mobs which  happens in the Sharing the Land quest (where we are hunting a group of gnolls); it's a good idea to try and lure the mobs  out of their groups individually.  This way we can take care of them one at a time.  Some times it's not easy or possible to do so but often it is.

Also the mobs in this game will only chase you for a short distance.   You can use this to try and separate a group.  My sledge hammer was broken, it's durability worn away while fighting the gnolls, luckily one dropped a much more powerful weapon then the one I genned up with.  This one deals almost twice as much damage! : D

After killing the final gnoll and gathering the final ingredients for the Mazzranche quest I return to town to turn in my quests, sell and repair gear.
I speak with Baine Bloodhoof and turn in Sharing the Land.  For completing the quest I gain material rewards of copper, 1 silver piece, 25 shock pellets, (a projectile weapon) and gain 550xp to reach Level 7!

After Baine Maur Raincaller is next.  He awards a material item of choice, boots or bracers.  The boots offered are much better quality then the boots I'm wearing,  so I choose the Cliff Runner Boots.  I also gain 700xp!

Now, lets get to drinking the water...  I speak with Zarlman Two-Moons, and drink the water. My character falls into a trance, after about 15 second a mystical dog appears, looks at my character, and leaves!  I follow him a far distance and into a cave  In the cave is a seer named Seer Wiserunner.  The seer explains I've passed my Rite of Vision, and awards me a choice of boots or a cape, I chose the cape.  The seer also Awards me 480xp for completing Rite of Vision and also explains there is a Rite of Wisdom.  Rite of Wisdom accepted.  Wiserunner explains to complete the Rite of Wisdom I must go to the red rocks East of Thunderbluffs and speak with an ancestral spirit!

I think we will work on Rite of Wisdom a little later.  Lets go back to Bloodhoof Village.  We will work on the rest of the village quests tommorow.

ay 5 'Blood Hoof Village'

It's time to have a little look around this village called Blood Hoof

Sharing The Land

Baine Bloodhoof explains that a group of gnolls (hyena like humaniods) has settled in the area of Bloodhoof Village and are ravaging the lands.  He bade me to kill them.  I will be awarded 10 flash pebbles ( a thrown weapon) for ridding the land of the gnolls.  Sharing the Land accepted!'

Rite of Vision, a rite of the Earthmother.  Bain explains that to become a respected figure in the Thunderbluffs (our area of the world) I must speak with the Zarlman Two-Moons, spiritual leader of Bloodhoof to take part in my Rite of Vision.

As I approach Zarlman Two-Moons he explains he sensed I was coming, and knew I am seeking Rites of the Earthmother.  I gain 55 xp for speaking to the spiritual leader.  Zarlman explains to follow through with my Rite of Vision I must help him create a 'pool of seers', a divination method, by creating this pool and drinking form it i will experience a vision.  I must collect the proper reagents required for this pool, stones from a well, and 2 ambercorn.  Ambercorn drop from certain trees in the area.

As I am about to leave the camp I encounter an NPC named Maur Raincaller, he explains he was attacked by a strider beast, and he is poisoned.  He needs the proper ingredients procured from the animals of the area to cure his poison, I accept the strider quest:Mazzranche.

While collecting parts for the quest Mazzranche I've reached Level 6!

I find the well stones and also the Ambercorn, tunring them into Zarlman nets me 600 xp, and also the seers water.  I'm running out of time now though.

We will have to try and  complete the quests Sharing the Land and Mazzranche tommorow.

ay 4: 'Rites of the Earthmother'Italic

As I turned in my quests yesterday, the quest of the Earth Mother continues.  We have completed one part of this quest: Rite of Strength.   To continue our rites we must leave the camp, and deliver a totem to Baine Bloodhoof of the Bloodhoof Village.  He can help me with my quest.

An Unfinished Task
On myway to Blood hoof Village I encoutner an NPC.  She is of our tribe, her father bade her to deliver a package to an in at Bloodhoof Village, but she cannot make it as she is working on her rite of strenght.  I've accepted the quest to help her out.

After much running, I've decided for travel, we will use the autorun key as much as possible.

On arrival to Bloodhoof Village, I found Baine first thing.  He explains that from the carvings on the totem, he knows  my character was meant for great things.  For completion of Rites of the Earthmother  I'm awarded 34o Xp.  I also gained some xp on the travel to the Village.  The close proximity of the village to our camp is  gives this are a cozey feel.   The atmosphere of the Village at night is warm too.

At the inn I turn in the furs to the innkeeper, and am awarded 110xp & bread (bread is used for health regeneration) for AUnfinished Task.

We made it to Blood Village and completed our Rites, there seem to to be alot of NPCs wanting to speak with me, I'll have to catch up with them tommorow.  Thanks for reading.

ay 3 'Tribe Hawkwind The Hunt Continues'

After giving the remains  of the plainstriders to Grull and receiving my reward, he goes on to explain that if like to help the tribe, and be rewarded for my work, he has a task for me. The camp is short on Mountain Cougar pelts.  The pelts are used as material for various works which are important to the camp, such as tents and clothing.  We have to track down the cougars and collect their valuable pelts!  The Hunt Continues

A Humble Task
Before leaving the camp I also spoke with Chief Hawkwind, apparently his mother has left camp to collect  water at the nearby well.  She has been awhile and would like me to check up on her.

I found the cougars & slain them.  A few dropped lower defense rating clothing, such as better boots and material goods to sell to a vendor.  Also on my way back to camp I spotted Great Mother Hawkwind.  She explains that it taken awhile for return because she is tired today.   She asked that I return the water from her to the Chief, I accept the water.

The material reward for The Hunt Continues were bracers, "Nomadic Bracers".  Nomadic Bracers are a soul bound item that fits to the arms of my character.  The bracers boasted an armor rating 15.  On the killing the last cougar I reached Level 3!  Awww yeah!

For completing A Humble Task by turning in the water for the Chief and Earthmother I net 40 copper pieces, and 16 for finding the Chiefs mother!

Rites of the Earth Mother

According to the Chief, there are rights of passage for us Tauren, he believes I can become stronger by following through with these rites.  Before I can do a rite, I must first speak with the Seer outside of the camp.

Break the Sharptusk!
Before leaving camp, I open dialog with Grull again who seems to have the quest icon.  A rival tribe Bristleback has a tradition of training boars in the area to be hostile.  These boars need to be rid of.  After I kill the enemies boars I am to collect their snouts and meat remains to make stew for our tribes young.

The Battleboars
I was trying to find the Seer in the hills south of camp, but I seem to have stumbled onto the boars first.  The interesting thing here is that some of the boars totted a suffix  battleboar warriors , these boars were a level rating higher then the regular battle boars.  They are slightly more powerful and a different mob because of this.  Their remains count for the quest though, and killing the Bristleback Battle boars nets a little bit more  xp.  Fighting a higher level mob requires more use of Heroic Strike and Battle Stomp, as apposed to just clicking regular attack.  When not activating these other attacks, regular attack continues until I discontinue it, these attacks are worked out in rounds. I regular attack every round unless I have enough rage and activate Heroic Strike, or my timer has reset to activate another Battle Stomp.

As I killed the last Battleboar I reached Level 4!  I collect the meat and snouts, on my way back to camp I did spot a Totem, I find Seer Grayfang in the area.  He explains I must bleed the the numbers of the enemy Bristleback Tribe to pass my 'Rite of Strenght': the first of the rites.  For speaking with the seer I gain 250 xp.

I return t camp to sell the items I picked off of the mobs and speak with the Chief and his son Grull.   Grull awards me with a 'Nomadic Vest',  a soul bound item with an armor rating of 35!  This is fine since currently i have armor on my person.  I also gain 450 xp for quest completion of The Battleboars.

Rite of Strenght & Brake Sharptusks!

At the camp I meet an N.P.C by the name Brave Windfeather.  She explains that she believes I can bring back to our camp the head of the Bristleback chief!  This would be a strong victory for our tribe. Brake Sharptusks! quest accepted!

As I enter the enemy camp, i find the enemy disorganized, so it is easy to pick them off one at a time collecting their belts.  Circling the camp i came across a magic user, presumably a shaman...  I found it was interesting the way my maul went through his head as he tried to launch a spell that never came to effect!   I realised in this fight that my skill with the warhammer goes up the more I use the warhammer, slightly.  This is come customization now!

Entering Chief Sharptooth Thornmantle's tent, I end up fighting 2 powerful mobs at once, the chief and a warrior aid.   Using the War Stomp and Heroic Strike attacks I just manage to bring them both down!  First the warrior, then the chief.  I collect the head and were good to jet!

On leaving  the Bristleback Camp, I slay the last tribesmen needed to complete my Rite of Strenght.  On the last mob it seems I lucked out and looted something very special.  A pouch, this pouch sites beside my inventory bag and allows me to store items, which frees up my main inventory.

On my way to camp I had been working on this blog and responding to an im, it seems that I was not yet out of Bristleback terriotry, and while AFK (away from keyboard) I had been attacked and killed.  I was offered a few ressurect options, starting back at camp with my spirit was the best option, with no xp loss.  I have to retrieve my body a little ways away in Bristleback territory now...    The other option were to ressurect on spot and recieve an xp penatly, or wait 6minutes to ressurect.

On return ot camp I am rewarded for the Brake Sharptusks quest, giving me 675 xp,and I choose these 'Painted Chain Leggings', bound, with an armor rating of 58!  Not only this But I just reached Level 5!

On turning in Bristlebacks belts to Chief Hawkwind I've given the choice of a wepaon as a material reward for Rite of Strenght.  I choose the stone tomahawk.  The other option for my class was a one handed stone mace.  I a'lso gained 450 xp.
The Cheif also explains there are more rites of passage....

But it's time to log!
